  • Data from video surveillance cameras throughout the day (weekdays except Monday and Friday) recording the traffic situation in the modelling area
  • Current tram routes within Staromostova Square and the surrounding area
  • Address and type of available tram rolling stock at each depot and route numbers they serve
  • Signal plans of traffic signal facilities for the existing condition
  • GPS tracks of existing public transport routes
  • Master plan and integrated transport scheme of the city
  • Approved existing and under development DPTs in the vicinity of the analysis area
  • Traffic and pedestrian intensities within the modelling area
The purpose of the project:
  1. Preparation of a conceptual drawing for the short-term optimisation of traffic and pedestrian flow within Staromostova Square and adjacent streets of Pryvokzalna, Pastera, Knyahynyi Olhy, Dmytro Yavornytskyi Avenue and Amurskyi Bridge in the city of Dnipro
  2. Preparation of a conceptual drawing of the medium-term concept for optimising traffic and pedestrian movement within Staromostova Square and adjacent streets of Pryvokzalna, Pastera, Knyahyny Olhy, Dmytro Yavornytskyi Avenue and Amurskyi Bridge in the city of Dnipro
  3. Provide for the possibility of phased implementation of the road transport infrastructure within Staromostova Square, starting with the reversal of the tram traffic scheme within Pastera Street
Results:
  • Report on the analysis of the effectiveness of design solutions for optimising traffic and pedestrian movement within Staromostova Square
  • Final presentation showing the functioning of all calculated transport network micro-models and modelling results
